I think they are called Buff's. I was wondering that to. Maybe to keep wind outa ears??????? I know i get ear aches from strong winds. Maybe i should try one but no idea where they sell them.

Sun protection mostly. They're understandable for flats fishing. Fishing over here in alberta... ehhh... not so much.
