Default Spring, hassie, and star lakes

I used to fish these regularly with a lot of action with smaller trout at star and hassie and some big ones mixed in at spring. I've read very little about any of these lately accept that they now had perch and trout fishing was not so great. Opinions? Recent Experiences?

I want to get out on some week nights with a kayak or float tube and these are all close for me.

Hasse has become a perch lake, it's no longer stocked. Some bucket biologist dumped some pike in there that caused SRD to remove it from the stocking program.

Last year it was slow from shore at Star but it was also my first time going there.

As far as Spring goes, I always assumed it was a slough and just drove past it to Hasse.

My experience at these lakes is with spinning gear so I don't know how that translates to your potential success fly fishing.

Thanks. The last time I fished one of these lakes was probably six years ago but I caught a pretty sweet rainbow at spring about eight years ago. That's too bad about Hasse. I wonder what people are thinking...

What kind of gear do you recommend for those beasts?
