Default ***FEBRUARY 18 2011 STOLLERY DONATION DROP OFF, and AO MEET and GREET***

We are meeting at 10:45AM tomorrow, at the Stollery Hospital doors, under the big bear.

PLEASE make plans to be there if you can, you can see where the money is going, and they can see that us Albertan Fishermen/women and Hunters are good honest hardworking people that care about not only hunting and fishing, buck giving back to the community when and where we can.

There is a chance that this is going to make it into a newspaper, as I was told that there will be media coverage. I don't take that to mean news at 6, but good publicity for a hunter is something we need to foster.

Then, if you are in town anyway, what do you guys think about meeting for supper somewhere? Maybe at BP's in the south end like last time?

Reply with a yay or nay for donation and supper, and we will see if anyone can make it.

I have clicked email notification for this thread, if you reply I will see. Hope to see a LOT of you there.

Stollery or supper or both?

Maybe we should do lunch instead? Never thought of that, mind you I am the only one likely not working tomorrow....(ya, slacker, I know)

I just want to say to Ken, and the many others that have donated, a BIG thank you. It's nice to see support going to a good cause and people motivated to help.

well the donation went great met Lorne and his wife, John, Jay, then whipped over and met up with Mrleahy.

It was wonderful meeting you all, I will put up pics when I get back home.

As for supper, it doesnt look like there are a lot of people that can make it, so how about we do this another time?

I have the clan with me, we are going to invade Costco, then pin it for home, maybe get some fishing in this weekend.

Catch you all next time

After meeting Ken and his son(almost as tall), uhhhh are you sure you fit into a vette??? Most people think of a Chevrolet Corvette, but I'm thinking more of this

Great meeting and my hat is off to Ken for the idea and all the logistic support. Quite a blast from the past meeting up with John and finding out we had mutual friends. Goes back so many years I almost forgot about my old athletic days. What a way to meet like minded people and help a cause at the same time.
