Default 54 days and counting :)

Anyone else counting the days till bowhunting starts ..I know dumb question..lol

What is everyone wanting to harvest with archery this year?

My top two animals is bull elk and Velvet mulie..

My dream season would also include a bull moose but I dont want to get to greedy ..lol

I am heading scouting this weekend so hopefully in a few weeks I will have some trailcam pics of the big bull elk I am going to concentrate on..

Lets hear your wish list boys and gals...

I wish I could hunt in bow season. May get to chase the elk around for a couple days in mid october. But that will be it for my bow season unless I take it out in November.

Im looking for my third straight book mule this fall. Gonna be chasin a w/t closer to home this year, maybe luck out with limited time for that tag and blow an arrow through a little P&Y'er if I can get lucky. For now the primary onus is on a p-8 hunt 1 Suffield elk. If I get the tag Ive got 23 days straight to play with. Archery mule and w/t will follow after that hunt commences. Its all airborne till draw results come out. One little hitch in my plan, second kid is due Sept 3rd. Thats 6 days before the elk hunt kicks off. If I get the tag I will be praying she nails the due date on this one!!

I'm not going to get greedy! Just want to start off with a mountain caribou...then return home and shoot an elk...followed by a bull moose (providing the draw comes in like I hope) then maybe a mule buck. I think I'll leave the whitetails alone, but if one wanders into range.......
I all honesty I'd like to get a moose although I do intend on attempting the others and I forgot to mention I'll be packing traditional gear.

Fill the freezer with WT fawns and does.
then mulie
then bull moose
then non trophy antelope
then cow elk.
Then I'll hold out for a wall hanging WT buck (maybe 2)

Just want to put some meat in the freezer but don't get me wrong I'm hoping for a nice wall hanger buck so I can finally put something up on the wall. And I also asked santa claus for a bull moose tag so we'll see if he delivers on that one.

I am getting super excited for archery season. I got the fever quite early this year as I only shot one doe in November. I'm hoping to stick a velvet whitetail and, if I get lucky, a moose too. Can't wait. I got the bow restrung and put a meta peep on. I've got some great groups so far. Hopefully I can pull it off when it counts.

Hope to tag my 2 Caribou in Sept. After that I have 2 weeks off to get my First ever mulie. And maybe even my first elk. Other than than that, a whitetail buck, bigger than my one from last year would be nice. And cant forget my Bull moose.

Good luck to everyone

I'm getting pretty excited, This will be my first year bow hunting and will hopefully connect with a mulie buck. If not, it's all good, still have the rest of my life to go hunt.

I can't wait to get out,I really want to concentrate on elk this year.I have been chasing them for 9 years and only got 1 cow with the rifle in that time but the rest of the years have all been archery.

It always feels like the summer goes by so slowly and as soon as fall hits time just races by. Can't wait!!! I'm a shoe in for my mulie draw and we plan to go after elk this year.
