Default Bringing food into Canada from Mexico??

Just looked at the Canada Customs website to find out what we can bring into Canada. Not much help. In December I inquired about fresh limes. All okay. This time I want to bring dried, but not packaged, chilie peppers. Anybody have experience bringing stuff back. Usually if it is grown in Canada they restrict it. BEL

Says you can bring 20kg of dried fruits/veggies per person. Concern might be the lack of packaging for origin. Also there are always exceptions that may not be on the website. You can email your specific question to them.
