Would it be too much to ask for the article to be posted?
I don't care to patronize Pravda.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of a toddler whose body was found in north Edmonton on Friday.
The man and the woman, who were the two "people of interest" the Edmonton Police Service were looking for earlier in the day, were arrested Saturday evening and are in police custody. Their names have not been released.
Charges are pending against both, as investigators try to determine the relationship between the two and the little boy, police said.
The toddler was found in the area of 155th Avenue and Castledowns Road Friday around 2.30 p.m., near the Good Shepherd Anglican Church. Police believe the boy was left in the area on April 18, three days prior to when he was found.

Curious if it was murder or depraved indifference? Either way it was likely the child's parents who killed the toddler or they'd have already called the police to note that the child was missing in the first place. By the looks of them they were probably drugged up for days and might have neglected the poor kid to death. Heavy drug use fits the bill for hats that ugly.

Very tragic. I can't think of a logical explanation for this to be accidental. You can't just forget about a toddler for a few days.

I'm pretty in different to a lot of human suffering and transgression.
But!
When it comes to children I seem to be impacted to a great degree.
This is high on my heinous scale, very disturbing for sure.

once one becomes a parent, its difficult not to let it disturb you (not that it wouldn't anyway)

Even if you're not a parent, if this doesn't bother you, you may just be more than a bit depraved.....

Political correctness would not have one judge a book by it's cover. I don't prescribe to that ideology, I do judge. In this case, if I'm right. Those low lives have some answering to do. And if they hurt that child, they should fry on an electric chair, face a firing squad or hang from a tall tree with a short rope.

Well, the father was just charged with murder.
If guilty he should be made gone from this planet.

People never cease to amaze me. Know of one case, where a man was convicted of killing their young baby. After he got out of Jail, he and the mother got married.

I hope that they get the same prison beatings as that fella that killed the Grandparents and that little boy.

According to CBC News; the father and his girlfriend are charged. The boy's mother had dropped him off at the dad's place about 5 weeks ago, because she was going to nursing school.

Both sad and sick at a very deep level. 20 months old and your life is ended through abuse.

This crap makes me sick to my stomach. Can't even imagine how much of a monster you have to be to be able to do that to anyone, let alone a child.
I really feel for the police and medics etc that have to deal with this stuff. That has to mess with your head.

It's incredibly hard on those that have to work with those cases. A friend of mine was driving an ambulance and a similar case made him quit that job as he said there is only so much you can take. Despite getting counselling it got really hard on his family and they nearly divorced and it took him a long time to get back to normal.

The loss of life is sad.
Remember that all individuals have issues .
When pointing to what is wrong with what we see remember you must be diligent .
The answer will never be simple, but the cause is also never clear?
Condolences to the mother of the child .
He has been saved.
To the parent remember the joy.

Thoughts and prayers to the little one who's life ended too soon, also to any of the family friends of all involved. So unnecessary. So truly sad.
RIP little one

Hearing on the radio yesterday that the autopsy had revealed substantial bruising all over the toddler's body. What could a 19 month old baby possibly do to deserve that? Even animals protect their young fiercely. I do hope that the beast is housed in general population and that the staff ensures the other inmates are well informed. May that beast rot in hell.
RIP little Anthony.

I'm no EMT and it messes with my head.
Odd I could easily put the perps in the ground and not blink.

This story bothers me like crazy! I still can't believe the mother didn't report her son missing sooner! Most mothers I know would call there 19 month kids every night to say good night. The dad is a real pos and should never see the light of day, death is to easy he should be kept alive but be miserable in every possible way. But I think the mother can't be that outstanding also.

My guts tell me Mom must have known her ex was a bad dude. So why give up your kid for 5 weeks with this guy and not make sure all was good on a regular basis? RIP young man.
I also hope the dad has many prison justice episodes.

Alcohol and drugs cause many a person to go bad, and I'm willing to bet they were ultimately involved here. But maybe Mom had nowhere else to turn?

Where was the girlfriend in all this?
Yes Dear has the right idea. Turn the 3 of them into organ donors and compost.
