You don't have to anthropomorphize animals to want to ensure that a species on the COESWIC list has more opportunities to thrive. Just like Caribou, Greater Sage Grouse and the lot I'd rather see my government put money and towards their betterment than a lot of other things they do. I want my children and their children to enjoy them as well not just in books.

Wait a moment. Back in the day when buffalo did roam freely, did they not roam what is now Banff Nat. Pk. also? No reason they shouldnt be able to survive there, unless they had to overwinter on the foothills back in the day. Plenty of lower pasture land in the park for herds of buffalo and elk.
