Default I got my first bear 🐻!

After many nights in the treestand this year, I harvested this beauty of a black bear on Friday evening just before dark. This is much first bear and my second bow kill. I couldn't be happier!

Thanks! I was presented with a perfect broadside shot at 15 yards. The arrow passed through but stayed in with the last 6" or so inside the bear. I watched it fall and expire 30 yards away from me. It was quite the rush!

Congrats on that beautifull blackie. Very nice fur for a fall bear. What was your first bow harvest?

Thanks for the kind words! I had never tried bear meat before and I really like it. The freezer will be full of sausage and hams before long.

I was hunting over a bait in Clearwater County, on crown land.

Thanks Ninja. My first bow harvest was a whitetail doe last fall. I got her still hunting in 314 on crown land. I've been fortunate so far while bow hunting as last year was my first year having anything to do with archery.
