Default Fishing Downstream of Carseland Weir

Folks,

We haven’t fished downstream of the Carseland weir since 2016, and the fishing then was pretty crummy. How has it been so far this year (or even last year)?

We still caught ‘em upstream of the weir amongst the islands in 2016, but I’d rather fish downstream if there are signs of life.

Thx!

I camped there last weekend. There were 6 or 8 people fishing on the North bank just East of the highway bridge. Saw at least one guy with one on. Means there's at least one fish in there!

Thanks! It is good to know that you saw signs of life.
