Model of rifles that allow full OAL without magazine restric
I'm curious to what 300 win mag rifles allow full OAL to load close or touching to the lands. Also feed from the magazine.
Make, models etc....
I'd like to load Berger 190's without magazine restrictions.
Thanks

Remington 700 is probably one of the longest mag boxes at about 3.70"
The long discontinued Sako M995 is quite long also.

One of my friends has a Christensen BA Tactical in .300 Win. It’s not the exact information that you’re looking for but he shoots 185gr Bergers and has been out close to the lands while still having room in the magazine. I’ve shot the rifle myself and it feeds just fine. I know he tried heavier bullets such as 212gr ELD-X and 210gr Bergers but something tells me he was single feeding them. Can’t recall that part for certain.

Thanks Guys.......keep them coming.
I know the sako finnlight allows for long over all length. Just curious to what other options are out there.

Rifles with a hinged floorplate magazine generally have less restriction on coal.

Yup, no issue with long cartridges or bullet length!

You can have the magazine on a 700 extended, and have a Wyatt magazine box installed. I use a COL of 3.7" in my custom 7mmstw which is built on a Stiller clone of the 700. I could seat a fair bit longer yet if required.

I put in a Wyatt extended box when I built my 300 Win Mag. Forget off hand the overall length it allows. But this does let me load 215 Bergers LONG, as I used a custom reamer with added freebore. Gets the 215 to 3000 fps, dropped confirmed out to 910 yds. I believe I am at 3.962" using the Hornady comparitor tool. I have just barely enough clearance with this load and the extended box, any longer and I'd have to single feed. IF possible try the 215 Berger, it is very forgiving on COAL and is a known performer on game. IMHO why shoot such a light bullet (190 gr) out of a 300 Win Mag?

Couldn't agree more on the 215's.
Much better bc's
I took a view boxes of 190's on a trade package. Maybe I should leave them for my 30-06.

A long box larger ported Model 70 has some room.

If you are really wanting to push long COAL get the 700 RUM action, action is same length but box is longer, or actions built for the 375 Hand H like Winchester Safari model 70, Sako Pro and Zastava.

No Pat Answer
Really it will vary rifle to rifle as do chamber dimensions as stated a magazine gun is restricted to the ammo OAL that will function in it and still chamber. Easier question would be can women be trusted ? Your mileage may vary on the advice of a 3 legged coyote.
