favorite gun
ok guys, i know you all have a favorite gun just like myself, lets see some pics of the guns we all cherish, and a short story to go with it.
here is mine,
Remington model 700 22-250
bought this gun pretty recently and instantly fell in love with it the first time i shot it, if it weren't for the gf in the bed with me, this gun would probaly take her place, i love the unique paint.

My favorite rifle would be the Remington 700 CDL SF limited edition .17 Fireball that I purchased last August. It has proven itself as a coyote gun and right now is my go too gopher gun

See my post about new guns, that's it ( for today, anyway!)
can't really say that I have a favorite rifle or shotgun, except for the one that is in my hand at the time.....

Your gf has unique paint?
What's her recoil like?

unique paint on the gun, as far as recoil goes, the more the better.

my fav (gun that is) Finnlight in 270win with Zeiss Rapid Z600.
Was meant to be my "sheep rifle" haven't gotten a sheep since I have it but have used it for most other critters. My 30-06 "deer rifle" stays mostly in the safe.

This is Ol' Black Betty (Bam-Ba-Lam). It is not particularly accurate (it goes sub MOA but just barely), and it is proudly displayed on my fancy dining room table with some unspeakably trashy artwork from a disreputable local artist.

Here's a few photos of my favorite $320 rifle. I have no pictures of my tikka. My brother put the rifle to work on both the critters.

Mine's a sporterized 1903 Springfield manufactured in 1937. I got it from a great uncle who lived in the US. He was one of my heroes as a kid, shot '03's in the National Matches at Camp Perry in the fifties (1000 yard stuff - at least one of his trophies was displayed for quite some time in the governor's mansion in Carson City, Nevada). I've been using it for better than 20 years now, I keep thinking I should retire it but there's a hell of a legacy in the ol' girl and every time I pull the trigger on an animal there's meat in the freezer.
Cheers

custom p-17 in 7 stw, had it for about 15 years or so. Shot my first moose with it, so did my son. Lost track of how many critters it has taken. Shoots a 1/2 inch when I do my part. Getting a bit worn and rough around the edges, but so am I, so I suppose I'll just keep dragging it out until one of us craps out completely.

Favorite Rifle
My favorite rifle is my enfield 1918 in .303. My grandfather bought this gun out of an army surplus barrel for a dollar when he was a young man. It was the only blond stock with good rifling left in the barrel. He was the youngest of 16 children on the homestead in carrot river sask, and he provided for the whole family by means of black bears, white tails, and moose that he would harvest with the enfield. My grandfather gave me this rifle when I was 16. He has since passed and I miss him every day. But I still tote the enfield around in memory of him. My avatar has a pic of the enfield in the rack of a whitetail buck

Nice stock on that beast Rack. And I am totally in love with Snowshoe's 17. Drool.
This is my baby. Her big brother in 12ga is on his way. Nothing like a family of Wingmasters in the closet

Tough to pick a favourite, but I guess I would have to go with the first gun that I ever purchased for myself (which was only a few years ago) as it will always have a special spot in the gun safe:
Marlin 1895GS in .45-70
XS Sight Systems Lever Scout Mount
Warne Rings
Leupold FX-II 2.5 x 28mm IER Scout
Murray Custom Leather Butt Stock Shell Holder
Limbsaver Recoil Pad

I too, am going to have to go with the first rifle that I ever purchased for myself. It's a Benneli R1 in 300 WSM.I put off buying my wifes engagement ring for nearly a year in order to get this.* I would probably still not own this rifle if I had gotten enagaged or married first.I also have a Marlin 336 30-30 that was bought in 1956.* I never use it, but I love having it.* That rifle looks like it came straight out of a John Wayne movie.

On another forum a similar thread went up about "classic guns" and soon turned into a photo contest. Some really fine looking classic guns and the guys got fairly imaginative in how they were posed and photographed.
I have a few favorite guns but most of the pictures I've taken of them have a dead critter in it. Well handsome is as handsome does as they say in the Shire.
My Rem. 7600 in .35 whelen is a rifle I got for Christmas from my wife. I always enjoy packing it in the woods and the pump gives me a fast second shot when it is needed.
When I find a rub like this, I keep my eyes wide open and my savage 99 in .300 savage held tight and at the ready.
I recon the savage 99 is probably my favorite right now.
Have a good one shootin all your favorites!

my favorite is my 25-06 model 700 bdl with a bushnell elite 3200 on it. its killed 2 deer 6 coyotes and 1 wolf not bad for only hunting 3 years with it. The factory stock got a little bumped up in a car crash im thinking bought putting on a bell and carlson stock on it. I think the grey web on black will look good on it
