Default Re chamber question

I've recently picked up a beauty m7 in 7mm08. I'm a huge fan of the caliber but have been thinking about buying a 325wsm. So instead I was thinking rechamber the m7 to 325wsm. Is this possible or would it make more sense to buy a magnum version(bolt face, magazine) of the m7 and get that rechambered.
Thanks

A good quality barrel and chamber job will likely cost about $700 without the extra cost of modifying the 308 boltface ....that is without any "truing" or the magazine...so, with shipping and insurance, a thousand dollars should be no surprise.

That sounds pretty reasonable.

Personally, I would not get the work done without truing the action/bolt lugs which will run at least another $200. Including the original cost of the M7, you would likely be sneaking up towards the $2K range for the change-over. And you would be left with one 325 WSM. Good chance you could buy a new 325 for that price and still have the 7-08.
