Default Good Rifles for the left hander

Ok,

So this will be my first year hunting for big game with my x-bolt in .308 - i've got about 150 rounds through the rifle, will probably have 3x that by the time hunting season comes around and am a big fan so far.

it's grouping at just over 1 inch with factory ammo and, by next year, i should have my reloading set up ready so I'm sure that will tighten up.

my question is - for left handers, what are the best options out there. i'm starting to research my next hunting rifle purchase and would like something that I can 100% take down - the only sore point for me on the x bolt is that they don't want a layman to break down the bolt, or to remove the action from the stock.

i'm looking for something that's wood and metal - i don't mind tikkas except for the plastic bits and bobs.

I've settled (I'm pretty sure) on .270WSM for my next cambering. but for a lefty, what rifles should I look at? my budget would be about $1,300 for rifle and scope.

scope will be a 3-9/12 that's better than the bushnell elite I've got now. Probably Leupold.

I'm almost thinking a tikka wiht the bolt shroud switched out for a stainless one would be the best option, but if I can I'll support a manufacturer that carries exactly what I'm looking for, if I can afford it.

Any suggestions?

There are a lot more left hand or ambidextrous offerings out here than ever before.
Go shopping, go shoulder and handle as many as you can.
Choose what feels good for you.
Simple eh!

If you have settled in a 270WSM then I would look into who carries that chambering in a LH option with the other options you are looking for....

Not all models are offered in a LH option.

I'm a lefty and like lever actions. The Browning lever is a decent hunting rifle and available in short Magnum cartridges.

My father just purchased a LH Rem 700 from Bashaw Sports. Awesome gun, it feels and handles great. but I would recommend staying clear of Bashaw Sports, it was honeslty the WORST service I think I have ever received in any type of store ever.
