Default Bear in Slave Lake

hey everyone... I am thinking of going to slave lake for a day or two... to try my luck at getting a bear... Could anyone lead me to some good crown land? I need directions to a good area...... Anyone going up there this weekend?

I used to hunt east of Slave Lake (town) around Mitsue in the spring and there are tons of bears around there....north of town on the Marten Hills Rd is a good spot and further north of that there is some nice country around....

Never hunted it in the fall, but I know in the spring there are a lot of bears around....

Go north on hway #88 I believe, Go past the sawridge service station approx 5-10km . There should be a sign for martin hills or a enerchem plant turn right. Have been up there 5x in the spring and the bears were a plenty but never in the fall. There is also a road north of Smith that goes on the west side of fawcett lake and meets the martin hills road but is damn near impassable in the spring good luck
