Default Dusk or Dawn ??

Hey everyone I just spent a lovely evening fishing with a camp over and a lovely morning fishing on one of my favourite central Alberta brown trout streams. Had some great action both in the evening and again the next morning. I think it may have been a bit better in the morning. I was just wondering everyone's thoughts and preferences on evening verses morning trout fishing. What do you prefer? Does it depend on the stream or which species you are targeting or even which method you are going to use eg. dry's or nymph's or even streamers. Here is a link to the video we shot of our little one night excursion .... Enjoy !!! Let me know your thoughts on the vid and whether your a Dusker or a Dawner

Cheers
Diddy

As a general rule, whatever is the most pleasant time of day to be out fishing happens to be the best time of day to be fly fishing as well!!!

Google up "Doug Swisher" and "Carl Richards" and "Pleasant time of day" for more explanation if you are skeptical.

I like early morning as the wind tends to be down more and usually less people. Less wind means my casts are better and less people means I have more prime water available.

I really like your videos they are very chill. I dig the 80's vibe and i think it adds to the timelessness of your videos, well done.

I think I prefer Dawn. . I like being out there for sunrise and watching everything come alive. And then hot weather like this, I feel I get a longer fishing session then fishing in the evening. The rivers I tend to fish Don't seem to get active until 9 PM or so in hot weather. In the morning the bite is usually good until 11 or 12 depending on the heat.

I mainly fish lakes but normally find the morning bite is the most consistent. Evening bite can be good but is hit or miss sometimes.
