Default P14 303 question

Regarding the rear battle sight on the P14. What was the peep range supposed to be when the rear ladder is flipped down?

Thanks in advance

I think it 200 yards. You can use different front sight blades from no4 mk1 series of rifles in these to adjust poi. Have to do some searching around for the blades, I purchased a set of them out UK a few years ago of different heights.

Yeah I got a full set from UK for my no1's and 4's but the ladder on a p14 starts at 200m. I'm inclined to think the battle peep is 100yd but I am not sure. I will check it out on bags and see the difference when I get home.

300 yds.
0-300yds. put the blade on uncle Jerry's centre of mass and you'll put him down.

The UK was feet, inches yards, pounds, and miles in 1914 till at least the mid 60's.

My book, for the No. 4 at least, says 400 yds., 300 with bayonet attached.

You're right Griz.

Big time typo on my part, hwy 43 south of VV, and fat fingers in the passenger seat, I guess.
