I have a Mathews MQ-32 and am leaving on Saturday for a caribou hunt. I was shooting yesterday and noticed how close my fletching is to the cable. Upon further inspection the cable guard seems to flex toward the arrow. I shoot 73lbs on this bow and wouldn't think that stress would do it but maybe it is. I only noticed last night so I do not know if it has been like this for a while. If i put the bow in a vice the guard straightens right out. Shooting a 8" group at 50 meters which is not be bad for me, so it does not seem to be effecting accuracy. Wondering if I can fix this quickly or what options I have ?
Talk to an area Mathews Dealer and they thought it was an issue how ever I called Mathews directly and they said no problem, it is suppose to. Just check a couple of measurements and confirm that it is not something else.
Lb if I was to use the STW I could almost shoot them from here. I would just have to get them home. I think I will be taking the Tikka T3 Lite .270wsm for back up, just in case there are unwilling participants to the bow hunting!
