Default Cable Guard on Mathews bending

Hello Guys,

I have a Mathews MQ-32 and am leaving on Saturday for a caribou hunt. I was shooting yesterday and noticed how close my fletching is to the cable. Upon further inspection the cable guard seems to flex toward the arrow. I shoot 73lbs on this bow and wouldn't think that stress would do it but maybe it is. I only noticed last night so I do not know if it has been like this for a while. If i put the bow in a vice the guard straightens right out. Shooting a 8" group at 50 meters which is not be bad for me, so it does not seem to be effecting accuracy. Wondering if I can fix this quickly or what options I have ?

Thanks

Trev

No problem,

Talk to an area Mathews Dealer and they thought it was an issue how ever I called Mathews directly and they said no problem, it is suppose to. Just check a couple of measurements and confirm that it is not something else.

Thanks for looking atleast.

Good luck on your Caribou hunt! We all expect photos upon your return. Hunt hard, shoot straight!

Now's the time to notice that stuff! Glad to hear it won't slow you down. If it does there is always the STW. B & C here you come!

Lb if I was to use the STW I could almost shoot them from here. I would just have to get them home. I think I will be taking the Tikka T3 Lite .270wsm for back up, just in case there are unwilling participants to the bow hunting!
