!!!Calling on the car guys!!!
A friend of mine has a 1960 fiat that her, and her husband want to restore, its already in pretty good condition, and runs. Just wondering we're a guy or gal could order a battery, and other mechanical parts, mainly a exhaust system. Located in Edmonton but willing to order out of country, any guidance would be appreciated!

Probably any Dodge dealership can get you what you need.

If it's an old 500 or 600 it would have vintage collector status and support - maybe even a club still active in Canada. Any other old Fiat models from that era would probably just be considered to be oddballs here. Check out the classifieds on this site.

The car is a 1100 model, it's actually a pretty cool little unit, thanks for the info!

I would try places like Black Gold Import parts in Nisku. They have Fiat parts listed to 1966. Do a search.

Ital Motor on 101 st across from Victoria High School
Been dealing with since the 7O's...very fair prices.
They've won a number of Canadian Sports Car racing championships with their Alfa Romeo...you won't find anyone who knows more about Italian cars

If there after an entire head back exhaust their best would be to purchase the appropriate muffler and have a shop build them a whole new setup. As for the battery and other misc parts have they looked at Rock Auto or Auto Parts Way? Can always seem to find what I need on those sites.

I'd call it a fuggly little bugger - but you never know - it may have some collector appeal.
It reminds me of something between a British Vauxhall or a French Simca or a Peugot from the era. I can almost smell the deteriorating interior and the musty old felt headliner.

nice 1100. cool little cars. if you don't care about the money, then fix it up and drive it. it will be worth more in fun than in money.

I was looking at a Fiat Spyder last year. The owner said Fiat was the Chevrolet of Europe and there was no problem finding any parts required.

Fiat is the world's second largest car company, ahead of Ford and GM.
They handily picked up Chrysler with what amounted to pocket change

Any of the little old 500 and 600 sedans are attractive and collectable. The Roadsters, Spyders and even the vulnerable mid engined X19 are very attractive - almost, but not quite - Italian sexy.
On the other hand, they made some really butt fugly models that would not at all look good with hot mamas, leather jackets and pointy shoes.

From my rally days I always loved this 'Fiat'.
It's a Lancia Stratos, Lancia being owned by Fiat.
