I'll take the .375 Ruger in stainless. The all-weather Hawkeye's faults are scant. I can't think of one. Oh, except the ammo is harder to find compared to the H&H.

The original poster as far as I can tell is very high on Ruger.

Not only that, your Ruger ain't a classic, it's brass or ammo is hard to find, it's performance is lackadaisical over that of the H&H, it's performance over this well trued and classic chambering is.... pathetic. Your Ruger chambering shall live a slow death, the H&H has survived and will continue to do so. Why? it was properly designed in the first place. Long live the H&H.

I only thought Remington made Ti rifles. I see Browning makes them as well.

You get called a troll because you are one. Find another board to start your arguments on, clown.

Performance-wise, the Ruger fires the same bullet 150fps faster than the H&H, a gain I'll gladly take. These rifles have all proven to be EXTREMELY accurate. Plus, the more powerful Ruger round is chambered in the same length of action as the 30-06 for a faster handling, lighter, shorter and less expensive action. The case is unbelted and chambers smoothly. It has no physical shortcomings. It may not win the race in the long run but it won't be for lack of performance... but rather as a result of demographics... namely old guys who are set in their ways.

All your points are valid, but that last comment is the only one that matters as far as a cartridge living or dying in the World of the shooting public!!

Only if it is politically correct.

Or if nobody is looking.

This is it 6.5 shooter. Nope with this particular rifle, my best shot was freehand on a 45 inch moose at 475 yards with a factory load 165 Gr.

This 30-06 was restocked by Klaus Hiptmayer and his wife Heidi did the engraving. It has a 4200 Rainguard Elite and this setup it not designed for long range shooting, which I consider to be over 500 yards.

As for Princess, she is a Browning Mountain Ti 300 WSM, the Scope is a Huskemaw Blue Diamond Series 5-20x50, very light setup and deadly accurate at very long range.

I call her Princess because she does not weigh that much, has a nice figure and is the only lady I ever gave a blue diamond to. Personal best with her, well if I told you that you wouldn't believe me, so I'll just keep that to myself.

A requirement to keep them maintained and cleaned.

The article the OP quoted is the equivalent to a scaffolder comparing safety harness performance after he throws them into a pile on the floor every day after the rain and drags them home along the ground.

Safety/life saving equipment is just that, why someone would not take care of it is beyond me.
