Default question for Sheep river conservation site

Hi,

From the Alberta Discover Guide and also Ihunter, I saw there is he Sheep river conservation site(54-arce) which is located 11km west of Okotoks which allow to , but yesterday when I drove the Sheep River Conservation Site, I parked my truck by the end of road before access to one of private land, and there is a foot access path between two private lands fences, when I try to hike in the Conservation Site, the one of private land owner came out and said all the area until the river bank is his private land, there is no Conservation Site at here, I showed him the information from Alberta Discover Guide app and also Ihunter, he said it is probably a government mistake...so eventually he let us go away...

My questions is if the Alberta Discover Guide made mistake to put the Sheep river conservation site as wrong information?

I really appreciate your response.

Regards,

Attached is the landowner map for this area. It seems to be all private.
You also have to keep in mind that the river separates two different WMU`s.
North of river is WMU212 Calgary and south is 312 foothills area.

What date is that map? The directions and outline seem pretty clear on the ACA.

Did you try to access as instructed?

I guess if its worth it to you to have a hassle on your hands if your animal gets into private property then go ahead. Not a big enough deer in the world for me to hunt something like that. I know the property you mean.

I’ve seen many conservation sites that are landlocked by private, the description usually states that you need to contact landowner for persmission to cross their land, sometimes they have a name and number and lots of times they don’t.
