Three dead in Leduc, Alta. industrial accident
What does this have to do with outdoors activities and such?
Nothing, but it is the community as a whole who will feel the loss.
My thoughts and prayers are with the folks who have lost their love ones in this accident.
Be safe out there folks and accident can happen at any time .
Rob

Considering the nature of the business I'm thinking it was either an oxygen-deprived atmosphere due to CO2 blasting or one of the items they were tasked with cleaning had a lethal chemical surprise. Cracked open a heat exchanger or
such and got poisoned. Curious if it could even be from solids they were cryogenic-blasting becoming vaporized?
Tragic.

Cryogenic implies liquid nitrogen.

Tragic when these things happen. Hopefully they release the details after the investigation so others can learn from this.

We need to wait for details, however suspect may have been shortage of oxygen in confined space, when large volume of nitrogen evaporated.
