This and the harvest thread in the hunting section are my two favorite of the year! Unfortunately us southerners have to wait a week yet, but hope to see some success from your northerners this week

Good luck all and straight shooting.

Had a bull going this morning!! Wind didn’t help me out, swirled in the valley before I could get up above him!

Thanks RD Hunter for posting!

A week into the fall season up north and not a single picture? Don't be shy!!

South season starts tomorrow, hopefully a little more success to come on the forum.

Got my bull moose last night, shot him about 15 minutes before last light at 35 yards. Ended up getting him back to the house around 2:30 this morning, not sure how to upload pictures but the ones we did take weren’t that great since it was pouring. Hopefully everyone else has a great fall and shoot straight fellow hunters.

One young fella took a mature mule deer here yesterday, winds were perfect and arrow flew straight. Rough number is 190 and change. If he give permission I can share later.

May your darts fly straight everyone.

Had a crazy couple days in the rain. Saw 5 moose, had 1 bull in range but he kept stepping just after I had my anchor and was getting my pin on him so missed out. But yesterday morning in the stand saw this guy about 100 yards up wind from me. Decided to stalk in on him to see if I could get the shot. Turns out he stuck around. The wind was loud and perfect. 40 yard shot and about 1 mile drag to the truck. Love the bow zone.

Shot a buck opening evening. Not a Cranker but once I figure out posting from an iPhone I’ll share pics. September cold fronts can be deadly.

With mule season closing for archery in north and a friend with a mule tag, meat was the order. 21 yd shot. Sausage buck.

Then on to a not so smart bull elk. Cpl cow chirps and he came licking lips. Backstraps flying. Good time to be alive. Shoot straight.

Huge body. Little rack.
Exit wound, down in 40yds. 60lbs venison deboned.

Good luck everyone. Enjoy the next week or two of yellowing leaves.

Under an hour into opener and had 5 bulls come in silent to calls. Not the biggest in the group, but I took the 1st that gave me a shot.

Hard 1/4 away. Came out 1/2”” in front of the shoulder blade and ran 60 yards and piled up.

12 hours from shot to last load to the truck.

Had a pretty good day yesterday managed to pull a nice bull away from his cow and make a good shot that had him down in around 100 yards.

Lefty - that is a beautiful bull. Have seen a few of your Elk pictures over the years. You've got quite the spot. Again, beautiful animal.
Glion - great to have your boy in the picture. You'll both remember moments like that. Really nice Whitetail.
reddeerhunter - read your story about that bull. Good idea to have the tag. Awesome animal and great pictures.
