Mountain Guy,

That depends on personal preference. Myself, I enjoy the taste of wild deer and would pass up a grain fed deer for a native plant fed one. The wheat fed critters get to be bland. Although those Canola deer sure are good!

Lol.... I remember wishing for backup on this old thread.

Here is an example of Modified Beef packaging.

I've had grass fed beef and like it as much.
I know in places like New Zealand they brag about grass fed beef being the best in the world.

Point is... grass fed deer tastes as good to me as grain fed.

I'm pretty sure ''bush'' deer eat mostly grasses.

I think a lot of hunters put way too much weight on what an animal eats.

Do you like twig eating moose?

I make batches no more that 10kg. Because I ain't an expert and smaller amounts are much easier to keep consistent.
We will make anywhere from 6 to 10 30 lb batches. All are mixed with precise measurements and all have a patty or 3 cooked before its stuffed into casing to insure it is good. It is occasionally doctored before we continue.

Yes it is; it'll also yield you more meat for your freezer too.

No it isn't

And what does volume have to do with taste?

OK then. If you thought you knew the answer why ask the question?
