Default Day trips with the wife next week

My wife wants to do a few day trips to places where I can fish within a few hours of Fort Macleod. I plan to fish from my canoe while she relaxes on the shore. I am looking at either Alison, Police Outpost, Beaver Mines or Payne Lake. If the winds are up, I will be fishing from the shore. She is willing to get up early and get there at the crack of dawn if it improves her odds of shore lunch. After only fishing once in two years, I am getting back into it. Most of my experience has been chasing brookies in streams back east along with pike and lakers in lakes up north. Which lake should I head to if I want to put a rainbow in the panÉ Friggin French keyboard ruined my question mark.

All would be good choices, but Police has special regs, no bait and only 1 fish over 50cm.

Lee lake south of the highway has excellent fishing. Usually small but still fun. One of the few lakes I can actually swim in without the risk of hypothermia...
