Default Flex Them Arrows!!

I know it's been brought up before but just a reminder for people to check their arrows. Was shooting with a friend tonight. Was his 3rd arrow of the night. Kaboom! Asked him what in the world was that?? Bow was blown up, string broken and both limbs splintered. Couldn't figure out what happened till we saw the arrow he had just shot. Was broken in half just past the vanes. It must have received damage from a previous shot. It had just folded and the bow was essentially dry fired. Just thankful it didn't go through his hand...

Glad he is ok ..could have ended up with a sadder story...bow can be replaced or fixed...

yup cant stress that enough...we had a shooter do the exact same thing ...thing was he actually flexed the arrow before shot...BUT he grabbed the arrow in front of vanes to flex...arrow was damaged middle of vanes...when flexing grab arrow at nock and field tip to flex...

Default flexing

Fellas,
How many times , when you flex the arrow, do you flex them back and forth?
Thanks FS

NOTE>>> the description in photo is wrong!!!

Our Suggested correct method is to put two fingers near nock and BEHIND back of vane.....thumb between vanes...flex than move thumb in between next vane ...Flex and finally between last vanes ...flex ...other hand near field point

as mentioned one of our shooters flexed in front of vanes and destroyed his bow on shot as arrow was hit by another arrow at vanes and broke or cracked but not visible

Any cracking noise or splinters on inspection..either slam on knee to break arrow and/or either way discard properly...
