Well I suppose it can't be any worse than a PVC bow, those wide thick limbs would be pretty slow I think. But for the tinkerers among us it seems like a fun project

That is VERY cool. I plan on making some for the archery club and kids - should be very affordable. Wouldn't it b e something to take an animal with one? kind of like catching a fish with your own fly. Now we need to make arrows out of ........(tent poles?)....

Possible , yes , practical not realy. No doubt you can make something to launch an arrow , and as for this guy's recommended string material, Nylon twine??? That speaks volumes .

Sounds like an awesome project going into winter. Great way to use the old skis in the corner of the garage. Thanks for the idea!

Freind of mine has one.. DOG... P.O.S.. I can throw a arrow better.. Save your skis to make a ice fishing sled

Can't even imagine how much it weights! Imagine chasing elk in the foothills with that. Pretty neat though and a great conversation piece!

And the nice thing is you save on arrows as they shoot ski poles. Ha

...Hmmmm well the only thing I can think of is one can save on string wax...just use ski wax on entire bow....lol
