Default Elk Antler Chandelier

My buddy bought one and we are looking at it scratching our heads how they
directionally drilled down the main beams. Two mechanically inclined guys that can’t come up with an answer.

Any ideas how they drilled down a curved main beam to run the wiring?

one way....The maker would follow the best straight line to drill as far as a bend in an antler. And another drill hole would be started at the bend to continue the hole as far past the bend. After the wires are run through the whole antler any external hole on the side of the bends of the antler would be epoxied closed to look like antler.

That is possible RB. Will have to inspect for a well hidden patch.

I have made three of them. It is a labour of love for sure. You start at the top and drill your first hole down the antler until you come out, and then your next drill hole starts in the one you just came out. You do that back and forth throught all the antlers, then pull the wire in and out of those holes. Once that is done, you epoxy and texture over the holes and then airbrush the color back into it. It is no wonder they are expensive!
