Post Learning How To Trap

Good Day All,

I have done various types of hunting throughout the years, when the other day a friend and I got on the topic of trapping. Upon doing some further research into it I have come to the conclusion that trapping would be a fun, exciting new challenge to take on. I am just unsure of how to being the process of getting involved in trapping.

If anyone is able to point me in the right direction as to what steps I should be taking, or the things that I need to get, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Peter SL

First step should probably be taking the alberta trappers education course and a lot of your questions will be answered in the course. Fish and wildlife can point you in the direction of the next available course scheduled for your area.

The wife and I took the course at DeBolt last year. Highly recommend it. The Alberta Trappers Assoc. web site will have a list of upcoming courses.
Good luck
