Default Last trip into the cabin for the year

Sarah my wife and me went for a last stay in the trap cabin to clean out everything for the year because the road is opened up May 15 and then there are hundreds of visitors in the park. When we were going in we saw some really fresh tracks that got a lot fresher the closer we got to the cabin until we scared the grizz of the snomobile trail. My wife was a little scared as we didn't carry a fire arm as usual. On the way out we also saw some good wolf and black bear tracks around my old bait piles, And it was good to see some fresh lynx and martin tracks too. I hope all the people visiting the park carry some form of protection because the critters are hungry at this time of year. I have posted a few pictures here of the bear tracks and I have more posted on my profile page. Enjoy!

Hey Rod , Did you get permission for a spot to biuld your cabin on yet?
I was down to mine last four days and replaced the fire wood I used last winter. Snows gone down low still some up on the passes. Had some grizz tracks on the pipe line. I am heading out again on Sat night to do some work on my shower. Cheers Don

Just curious if you have any pictures of the outside of your cabin that you could post? I like seeing what people have done with their cabin and how they've been built.

Still waiting on the meeting with the powers to be in canmore . The good news is that my area is supporting the trapping guidelines for RFMRA's so if everething goes good the new cabin will start and be compleated this time next year. Wish me luck.

I'll wish you get the permit.

I'll also throw in day or two with a hammer and saw.
