Default Frozen Ground Vs Sillosocks/Silohouettes

Hey guys, just getting back into goose hunting. Most of my hunts many years ago was in sept and oct. Soft ground to put stakes into. However, many years later the bug has hit me again

What is everyone using to get sillosocks and silohouettes into frozen ground?

Cordless drill? A punch of some sort?

Any suggestions or what works for you all?

Thanks

A cordless drill and a large drill bit. Very fast and efficient.

I went out last night to buy 6" spade bits for this very reason. Hoping to get the last hunt of the season in with the kids this weekend if we can find the birds. Good luck to all!

I made a spike tool with an old, short shovel handle, which has a step-on flange - works fine if the frost is not more than 4-6 inches deep.

We have 24' drill bits for getting stakes in if needed. Most of this year the ground has been so hard that weve been using a rubber mallet and it works good for the silhouettes. Dive bombs and big als you can hammer in

Default Drill bits worked well

Got one last shoot in for the year. It was cold and snowy but we had a blast. The birds came back and we were ready for them. Great times in the field with the kids!

That is awesome to see kids out enjoying the hunt. Congrats on the birds. Couple of the look pretty big.
