Default 40” Rooster Down boys!

Hard day out there.

Some days I just down right suck at wing shooting.

0 for 4! Ugh.

Buddy labled the last one!

Taped it twice.... it’s somewhere between 40” 1/4 and 1/2!!

Dog had to chase it down too!

Great day!

No hunters out too... musta been the snowflakes.... heh!

I just wish that we had wild pheasant closer to where I live. And more Huns would be nice too.

Oh for four Bessie? I bet that isn't Apple juice over ice either, then is it?

Nice looking rooster though.

Yea.....

Four chances.... I blew it big time.

Great day to be out though. Even had a chance at a sharpie.

And yea.... I got into the Crown.... had to warm up a bit.

Your lucky that you get to hunt pheasant with that guy because I know he has shot multiple roosters in his life over 40”...I’m still looking for my first...lol

Good for you guys!

Nice bird.

Out of curiousity ... how many bars on its longest tail feather?

I admit I don’t measure but I like to keep a tail feather after cleaning (if i was excited about it).

Always look at the spurs now too.

Yes.. that gentleman is a true sportsman and an honour to hunt with. We’re hoping this bird makes top 3 at least for trophy club.

Re: bars on tail. I didn’t check, not my bird, and real measurement for AGFA prov trophy is beak to tail measurement.

But yes, I do tend to count bars and check spur length on my birds. This guy had ok spurs on him.

All sorts of jokes that would end up looking like a line of asterisks... so...
Nice bird!
