Default Queen grants a pardon

I remember all the articles about the guy defending himself with a Narwal tusk, the Queen apparently thinks good on him as well.

In a surprising twist of events, the family of the killed firefighter, Barrie Jackson, has supported the decision.
"I have mixed emotions — but what happened at London Bridge goes to show the reality that people can change," Jackson's son, Jack, said, according to the Guardian. Jack also said he would not rule out meeting his father's killer in the future.

and in the end this is all that matters I guess......

The headline is a poor summary from the media actually - The whole murder was not pardoned - if you read the details - it sounds like the queens order removes 10 months of the sentence, and makes him eligible fro parole mid next year.

It's not like he was given a pardon and is free to go ....... "run along then, off you go !!!" lol

Either way. Interesting story.

It’s worth reading the background story about why Steve Gallant beat up (and killed) Barrie Jackson.
