Default Cold Lake

Heading to Cold lake tommorow for a few days just curious how the fishing has been? Any info on what colors they are hitting on and at what depth would be awsome.

Shinny colors, anything silver or chartreuse works, if you want to mess with bait, an anchovy harness always works well. As far as depth, that seems to be consistently different, but I always try one around 40-60 and another around 70-90 to start. I haven't been out for a couple weeks, hopefully it's picked up since then because I only landed 7 the day I was out. I mostly fish them in the summer, I'm not really sure about their habits this early, but I was at least able to hook a few using summer techniques.

Good luck out there.

Just got back from Cold. The fish were holding in anywhere from 40 to 110 - however, the most active fish were between 45 and 60 feet.

Fishing was fairly slow for the most part, but did catch a "window" between 4 and 6pm the one day, and landed 15 or so in the two hours. Total for the 3 days was around 30, with 3 above 75cm.
