Default Old Powder and compromised primed brass

Going thru a bunch of improperly stored bullets and shotgun shells from an estate that cant be saved. So i PUlled all the bullets and dumped the powder into a container and the brass in a different on for the metal bin. Is there something i can do to make the powder and primers dead ?
I still have a couple of boxes of it to go thru

Spread the powder out on your lawn and garden.

Soak the primers in kerosene or diesel fuel for a couple of days, and then drain, dry and Then send them to the burn barrel.
