Default Lac La Biche Ice Report

A little tricky getting down and up the boat launch at Sir Winston Churchill, but we were able to drive to Birch Island without much trouble in a stock F150. We had a couple dozen bites and landed about half of those. Even spread between tip-ups, jaw jackers and jigging. All pike but a couple really nice ones.

Cheers

We were on la biche all last weekend. The ice heave was right at the Churchill boat launch. 4x4 pickup won't have a problem. The snow had blown around pretty good when we packed up on Sunday. With good tires you should be fine. Used the extension on the auger. Probably wouldn't have gotten through without it with the snow pack on the ice

Lake has been slow all year, depending on what your chasing it’ll take you a morning or afternoon to get on them, camera or flasher helps.

Post a report on this. Hopefully it picks up a bit with the steady weather.
