Default Yukon 2015-16 Which Outfitter?

Well, I think I might have enough saved to book my dream hunt in the Yukon. I'm focussed on Dall Sheep, Moose and Mountain Caribou. I've looked at the outfitters and I'm leaning towards Dan Reynolds because of how he appears to manage his herd. I would really like to hear from people who have gone on such a trip.

1. What ultimately was the reason they chose the outfitter they went with?

2. What would they have done differently looking back now having gone on the trip?

3. What time in the Fall did you go and what items did you take that were critical and which ones were not.

Thanks,

Check out North Curl for Dall sheep. But I think he is booked up for the next year, not sure about 2016. Great sheep area.

I know it's not the Yukon, but the boys at Gana river are worth a look.

Bonnet plume outfitters. I havnt personaly hunted with them but my grandpa is good freinds with him and went on a dall hunt a couple years ago. They are one of the leading outfits for troupy sheep I believe. Check them out!

I just got back from a trip with blackstone outfitters. While I was there 4 mountain caribou was shot over 400". Biggest 429" , same guy got a 12 yr old dall! I could of arrowed a 55" moose but wanted 60 or bigger that didn't happen for me but did for others

I would recommend if possible to go to the sheep show or sci show and speak to the outfitter in person, this was how I choose who I went with for all of the sheep for my slam.
What I would have done differently would have been a better shoot, more comfortable shooting out a little farther more practice shooting at angles, off hand etc. And as always been in better shape I'm a ultra marathon runner and never had a guide even close to keeping up with me but u can never be in good enough shape.
I went early September for Dalls as I wanted to have goat as a second animal. The things I found were musts is really good rain gear, boots and a really good pack u are familiar with and comfortable packing a large load (if your doing back pack).
Wherever and whenever u go remember your there to have fun.
Cheers
