I did get the Facebook message, be interesting to see if the cops show up in riot gear with "tactical" vehicles.

If I was crown prosecutor and if I believed in coutts boys guilt I would be chomping at the bit to go to court and nail them. I wouldn't be putting it off and waiting until they were completely bankrupt and mentally broken from rotting in jail for years before even giving them a trial.

Could it be Rosie O'Donnell threatening to move to Canada if Trump runs again? That could bring thousands of people out to stop her at the border.

I was never a supporter of blocking boarders and would have rather seen them all go to Ottawa. But the arrest of theses 4 was questionable to start with and I am %100 against how they have been held as long as they have without a proper court case to defend themselves

Seeing what has happened is a prime example of how corrupt Canada has become

I was not in favour of blockades, but what has happened to them guys is a page right out of Cuba. Not a surprise because JT has Cuban roots.

Seems like they're wrongfully punishing without conviction. How long are they going to keep them locked up. Do they have court date?

When you heard about political prisoners , you assumed that it was in some communist country, but here it is in Canada.

I don’t follow it closely enough to know if this is correct but if I understand right they are playing the shift the court date game to keep these guys locked up

If they had appropriate evidence to convict these men the trial would have been speedy. Instead they will serve the sentence pre trial and when they are desperate enough the crown will offer a plea down to a lesser charge and time served.
If they go to trial and are acquitted they will sue as they should.

They deserve to get bail and a timely trail but it’s becoming clear that the crown doesn’t want to present evidence.

I might be wrong, but my understanding is that it wasn't at Coutts... That is the weapons they found at the accused premises.. Of those, I am not even sure exactly which are not legal.

I believe those are the weapons they confiscated from 3 trailers found on a property near the border crossing. The reason the trial is taking so long is because it's based on a conspiracy to commit a crime, rather than proving a crime after it's already been committed. Could be they had no intention of ever firing a weapon, but it was dumb to bring them along and communicate the possibility they could be used.

You are correct, the firearms were in Coutts, not at the blockade, just like the excavators that were vandalized by the RCMP, were not at the blockade.

Not true
This is an old picture of a cache of weapons that they found a couple years before, I believe in Grande Prairie or some other place
Even the mayor of Coutts said that the weapons were planted
He said that at the inquiry in Ottawa last year
I personally believe that they are innocent, but whether or not, give them their trial and get it over with
I was at the event last weekend and talked to the father of one of the four
Then you don't make jokes about Coutts anymore.

They deserve a timely trial with no publication bans and bail until them.

It’s becoming obvious the crown is delaying the trial and punishing them unjustly before hand.

Question
Does anyone know how long the statute of limitations is for the remand period.
I have been told that it is 30 months, but can't find it online.
Thanks.

Good thing old sparkle socks is not in charge in France or the eight other European countries that are supporting the farmers over there. He would have dropped a nuke by now.

The blockade was a personal jab at trudo. I'm sure the power hungry dictator will delay the court date for as long as he possibly can. These poor souls won't even get $0.08 when the bs case is eventually thrown out.
