Default Wolves at Nafa

Another question. How many guys sent in wolves for the trim trade to nafa. Just to clarify put up the wolves like a coyote? Also. Are the wolves hitting the average mark or well below for price?

You can go on line and browse through the catalog to see what they all sold for

I was in there checking out the prices my inquiry was the difference between keeping the paws on and splitting lips and pouching the ears VS no paws no lips no bottom jaw no ear cartilage like the yotes
I am by no means a wolf expert. I also realize if you want top lot wolf you probably need to be putting them up for taxidermy.

Unless they are top quality taxidermy ones I wouldn't bother doing all the extra work cause in my experience your still only gonna get 40-100 bucks.

So just so I'm clear the majority of the wolves sent in are done like coyotes?

I sold a nice black last for $500 and had another black with a brownish tinge sold for $75, both taxi skinned.
Some others i skinned same as coyote sold for $75 as well.
So for me it's not worth taxi skinning unless it's a really nice looking wolf.

Thanks Jim. I am not an expert I have yet to connect on a wolf. Mostly cause they tend not to be chasing any antelope (prairie goats) where I'm at. I was curious on the price difference.
