If prices are the same this year I would say no . Last year I had 120 $ avg. it's a bit of work but you'll feel better for it. IMO

How many hours will it take to finish them all? Will you be done by the last receiving date for the next sale? Is this offer good till you see what this first auction does in a week? I personally think I would sell my unfinished coyotes at that price.

Sell
I think guys are thinking prices will be the same as last year
But you never know the way the economy is all over the world
70:00 a coyote might be a great price

I wouldn't sell unless the offer is within $30 of your average last year. What date did you start trapping coyotes?

$70 Canadian = US$50......not a friggin chance! Putting them up would probably double your money. I'll take $70 to put up a coyote all day long. If you can't put them up yourself, it'd be worth your while to get someone to do it for you even if you have to pay a premium of $30 per coyote to find someone. That's still an extra $40 per dog in your pocket and it wouldn't be any more work for you. Basically, it's $40 for doing nothing!

Heres to hoping the market is as strong as all you guys figure. I'll believe it when I see the auction results.

Started November , I really don,t have the place to work on all these critters, That is the problem , Like you said $70.00 Canadian is NOT a big price but considering I would not have to scrape and stretch I may be tempted , I will think on this , It,s the unpredictability of the market .

Can't believe what some of you are willing to sell your yotes for. Crazy. Good for you if you do better than the auction but you sure have dropped your prices a lot. You must think the end of the world is coming or something. As far as i see it there is a lower supply of coyotes this year for sale and last I heard they were still in demand!!

Wrt predictions.....No one has a crystal ball to predict what'll happen at auction but NAFA posts fur updates on their site periodically. The last one, based on how the Copenhagen auction went, stated that discounts of 40% to 50% can be expected for mink (maybe sable as well?). The updates prior to that stated that some species would struggle (raccoon was one) but the outlook for coyote has always remained positive. Maybe prices will drop a bit for coyote but I haven't read anything to indicate anything significant.

I'm no economist but......Our coyotes are auctioned in US$ and IMO, the weak Canadian dollar would help offset any drop in the price of coyote. I don't anticipate any significant drop in coyote prices anyway based on what NAFA is saying but who knows?

Here's a link to a NAFA update in December 2015 specific to coyotes, titled...."Wild fur update - Coyote market still upbeat"

http://www.nafa.ca/wild-fur-update-c...-still-upbeat/

Im guessing that maybe FHA s sale tomorrow may be an indication of prices to expect for Nafa's later this week .

Is that $70.00 each or $70.00 for all? Gotta ask to be sure.

There are a lot of things to consider. If it were me I would go for it. I'm getting on in years and fleshing is tough for me to do now. Twenty years ago I would not even have considered such a deal.

Holding them for auction is a gamble at any time. But if I thought I would loose fifty dollars a pelt there is no way I would chance it.
