Default More Alberta Relm questions

I was just on their site making a profile for my dad seeing the booklets with priority do not get mailed anymore and he wants nothing to do with computers and I couldnt find an answer reguarding my 14 yr old. You need a drivers licence to make a profile, my son doesnt have one but he has been 999 some draws since he was 12. How do I make a profile for him so that we can track his priority's without a licence. Second question, wether I 999 a draw code or apply, either way it will cost $3.83 correct?

Thanks, our chance at moose camp is minimal with a 0 priority so we will be just 999ing everything else.

I can't comment about the profile for the youngster, but yes, the fees are the same if you "999".

If I remember correctly you can also use Alberta Health Care Number or Passport number think I had to use these for my sons years ago.

^ Yup. I just set up a profile for my wife, and she misplaced here driver's license. We used her AHC number, and everything went smoothly.

The fee is $3.83 (ish) whether you 999 or enter an actual draw. If you want to save money, add 4 hunters to each 999 draw and only pay once.

So I stopped in at the F & W office this morning to get my draw book and asked the question about no drivers lic. He said just the win # would work. I will try that out at lunch but if it doesnt, health care # will be my back up. Thanks for the info everyone.

Just to let you know, when I went and made a profile for my son, it recognized his age may not be suitable for a drivers license and only asked for a health card number. Done and done. Thanks all for the quick answers.

If he has been 999'ing draws then he must have already had a WIN number issued?

True, but they could have been done over phone or at a retailer. To do it online you have to set up a profile, and if you check THAT option, it asks for your WIN# AND a driver's licence. No idea why.

Thanks for the info Oko! I didn't realize they ask for both the WIN and a DL.....I suspect its the same reason they ask for a DL,PP,AHC number in the first place to establish your residency??

I figured once you got a WIN then you were good to go and register....

I think the reason why they ask for another form of ID is for security purposes in case you lose your password and can be recovered easily. At least that is what I remember them asking it for.

Probably true. I guess a call to them would clear up everything. I'm sure the OP is not the first to try to set up a RELM profile without having a driver's licence. There has got to be a way to do it.
