Apparently not. But it's not over yet.

Florida doesn't look anything like the team the Flames played in early January. Their road record bears that out too. Strange how it goes with teams.

Good win, sigh of relief to see that Sutter got them back on track.

The white "sands" of Alberta is not the same as the white sands of Florida. Much needed 2 points.

Monahan’s goal was awesome.

Well played game team. Extra efforts. No choking in the third period. Steady play and more jump.

👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Glad they won, just wish it was as entertaining as what's going on up north!

Yup, now it's a reporter's fault for their lot in life. That's all they can talk about. Gotta run to the defense of their beloved Dri, the big bad reporter hurt his feelers and we can't have that.

Never mind that they can't/don't have goal tending, defense or balanced scoring, they've got a Dri shrine to worship and it must be protected at all costs.

Only saw the last 10 minutes of the 3rd but they must have played well or the panthers sucked or maybe a little of both. I had a much more important game to watch on hockey TV, the Nipawin Hawks and the Estevan Bruins, my grandson plays for the Hawks, unfortunately they lost 2 - 1 in a shoot out but a good game to watch.

There are no multi millionaire players or mealy mouthed reporters thinking that the sun shines out of their bums and they are entitled, Just 18 year old's working their butts of in the SJHL trying to make their mark, real hockey, real life and no social media crap or hype.

It's getting harder and harder to watch pro sports, by the time you wade through all the crap there is nothing left, all the 24 hr sports channels that have to have something to fill that time, the podcasts, the social media feeds, all the dogs are looking for a bone to chew on, and if they can't find one they have to create one or they drop out of the lime light.

Good goaltending, quick/crisp passing, backchecking and some favorable bounces....Flames earn a good win. Florida looked a bit flat and things were not clicking. Hopefully the Flames continue with this intensity

Well go figure, they put in a solid 60 minute effort and come up with a big win. That's more like what we were seeing at the start of the season. Hope that's more the norm. Tkachuck's tip in was just filthy, and Monny with a couple. Johnny had quite the game. Defense was great, Marky was on point, just a solid all round game.
Bring on Saturday and really bring it, hopefully triggers another Dri pout session.

I was shocked when I saw Panthers scored 50 goals in their last 5. Do the math....
I think it was 50 goals in 8 games not 5 but still a great accomplishment.

I need some fantasy points, hopefully they return, or better, that pace for their next game!

Gonna get crucified but ya…. Flames would win the next game(they did) and would play consistently in the 65-70% win rate and comfortably into the playoffs. Edmonton not so much.
Here’s hoping I’m wrong and down a hundred bucks.

Another prediction.
Flames biggest lose streak now until playoffs is 3 games.
But will only happen once.

So, if my math is right, Flames win 5-1, Panthers win 6-0, we should beat Edmonton 11-1!

I'm gonna be ticked if we don't show up, thinking it's going to be an easy win or something, and break their slump! Play like you did on Tuesday and things should go well.

The Flames are exactly what McDavid and Draisaitl need to break them out of their slumps.

I am not sure if McDavid has ever gone this long without a point.

Hoping for a great game

100% I was saying that to someone the other day, we better not be the slump buster game. Work full 60 like the other night against the Panthers and we are gold. Take advantage of them being in a tail spin.
Twitter is on fire today with meme's, so good.
Need to focus on points as we are still not in playoff spot, that said we have not played as many games as teams ahead of us. Just need to get above that line, and stay there.
Bring on Sat

Yup I wish for a good game also, but like my granddad used to say, wish in one hand and crap in the other hand and see which one get's full the fastest.
If they play like they did in the first period last night we may have a game, but if they give up the first goal and hang their heads they will get pounded in every corner of the rink, the flames will not let them off the hook and rightly so.

Me n Bessie have the traditional bottle bet. I felt bad for him as it's looking like our Big Bet on the season is already in the bag, unless somehow the Oilers make it past round one of the playoffs.....

We'll see what Flames team shows up tomorrow. The only thing consistent about this team is being inconsistent over the past 5-10 years. It's not like we been that much better than the Oilers over the past 15 or so games.
