Default Mattress in a box

Anyone ever tried 'em? Endy, Casper, Purple, etc.?

How are they for firmness, heat retention and value?

Read some reviews but they all sound the same, hoping for some real world opinions compared to a spring mattress.

I'm intrigued by the Purple one because I tend to sweat in bed and that top layer sounds like it might help with that.

We bought the nova foam from Costco. We love it, it has the gel layer which is supposed to make it cooler. We do notice it to be warmer when we get into it if the house is little cool on these -30 days. Wouldn’t buy another spring mattress for the price and comfort.

I know a few people that have done the Amazon foam mattress and love them as well.

I bought the gel memory foam topper from costco and at first it was great but after a couple of years I started to get sore hips when sleeping. I took the topper off and my hips got better. But then I am a senior and we have all kinds of aches and pains.

I bought one because a) I’m cheap.
B) I lived on the 4 th floor, moving a box is so much easier.
For the price they are decent.

Good innerspring mattresses are also available in box form from the likes of Sierra Sleep

We got a medium plush one off amazon, I hate it cause I sleep on my side but the wife with back issues loves it. As far as heat I find no difference from older mattress just to firm for me.

We have an Endy for the spare room and Douglas for our bedroom.

They're both great. The Endy is a bit softer than the Douglas for sure. They're both nice and cool.

The foam mattresses provide better weight distribution than a spring type mattress. If you're heavier, get a firmer one, if you're lighter go softer. That ensures you get optimal support. They're also easier to move around as they're pretty light.

I've been using foam mattresses for years now, and in my experience they outlast spring mattresses.

We got the one from Costco and I like it better than the last 3 spring mattresses that we've had.
Like pittman said, go firm if you're heavier or softer if you're not.
I also went to Foam King in the west end of Edmonton just to see how a foam mattress feels before we bought ours.

We got one from Jysk and it’s been awesome. The sleep country one was real nice as well. Don’t cheap out as the cheaper ones feel like plywood.
