Snow, snow and more snow.
Shovelled a few times today. Broke out the snow blower to clear off some road.
Seems like the most wintery day so far this winter.
I just hope the mountains and foothills got dumped on.
Looks like we got about 10 inch of snow in Calgary. Some drifts are building on streets and parking lots.
Snow seems to have tapered off with a few more flurries forecasted.

Let's keep this snow going, and stop all this talk of drought.

Sierra Nevadas forecasted for 10 feet of snow in 24 hours. The powder skiing will be amazing for those snowed in.

It looks like 6-8" so far here, more than we got from the last dump. The last two dumps should help a lot with the water situation this spring.

We are going to need a lot more than 8-10 inches but it is definitely welcome and needed. I’d be alright with another couple feet on the prairies and 5-10 more feet out in the mountains.

About 10” here in high river as well. Shoveled once this morning, then said to heck with it around 4:30 and dragged out the old snowblower and did the block, the back driveway, and around the wife’s car on the street. Hope to see more of this yet, and some good steady spring rains to follow

Looks like about 4" here, thankfully the wind didn't blow like the forecasted, only about 25km, was supposed to be gusting to 50km but that didn't happen, another 10 - 15 cm on the way in the next 24 hr

Ended up with about 3" yesterday. Happy to see it except my snow removal guy decided to provide one days notice that he is no longer going to be doing snow removal. Guy has 50 clients that now need to find an alternative with no lead time.
Contract was fixed price monthly from Nov 1 to March 31: He was very happy to collect his monthly fee when there was next to no snow to move but now that the snow showed up he and his brother pull a powder. Eazy Snow Removal, Ivan Bayoukhi. I got sold the story of 2 young guys trying to get into business for themselves, weren't any cheaper than the established companies, but figured would try to help out a new company. It had worked well in the past, but this time - Wrong!!!

In my case no big deal, will throw the blade on the Quad and do it myself. Only reason I hired a service this year was due to hip surgery end of Nov. Only options were full winter contracts, but now I am pretty well healed up so can do it my self, no issues. Unfortunately, not true for a lot of their other clients. Many are too old to do their own walks.
The lack of integrity shouldn't surprise me, but it always disappoints me. I really believe 80% of all people are only honest because they are afraid of being caught, and the consequences. If the fear of consequences is removed, it becomes a free for all. Look at the current crop of politicians, Biden, hard evidence of corruption, Trudeau, the corruption is legion and the same with many of his ministers. Politicians no longer fear getting caught. Same applies to shop lifters in places that don't prosecute, theft is rampant.
