Nice pic....not to nit pick, but did you have a long range lense or were you that close to this newborn and if so where was momma???

I was only 3 feet away from this little fella and the mother was about 100yrds from me, and before you jump all over me NO I DID NOT TOUCH the little one. the mother did come back after I left. Any guesses as to what it is!!

Actually ive never even seen a speed goat but after you comments about the spots i think you right, especially after looking at the ears. sorry im a dumb$%*

Thanks for the replies, The Antelope numbers sure are way down. I rode 40 sections of land and only seen 24 antelope!!! There sure is lots of water laying all over the place. Last week there was 6 1/4" of rain and on Tuesday there was another 1 1/2"

For some reason some people call Pronghorn (Alberta's "Antelope") speed goats and stink goats and stink-alopes and all sorts of crazy things.
I'm not sure why the OP would call it a "Future Booner".
50% chance it is a female.
not sure what % chance it has of seeing its first birthday.
It would then be a few years at least it would have to survive to an age when it could be a mature buck.
Then only a % of mature bucks will score high enough to make the B&C book.

Clearly you missed the thread last october about record sized does being shot.
Them prairie ghosts grow horns regardless of the undercarraige.
I actually just put in my draws for sage rockets the other day.
