Default wood ticks in Alberta????

has Alberta inherited those ugly things yet ???
this part of Saskatchewan is Absolutely horribly over run with them,
they take the fun out of being out in the bush or high grass this time of year

Yeah this time of year it can be hell to hike in sheep country, one day me and my wife just kept fliking them. We didn't stay for a long time, but still found some in the house 2 weeks after.

Had two on me yesterday out east of Medicine Hat.

FWIW, the dog and I are out all year long around Lethbridge, and I hunt the foothills a lot, and these are the first two I have had on me (in AB) in 7 years.

Geez. Now I'm all itchy.

yeah I had one in my armpit last year felt the thing crawing with the wife sitting beside me it was pretty hard not to make a notice to what was going on, I know for a fact if the wife knew I had it, i wouldve spent a few nights or more at least on the couch if not a tent in the yard LMFAO

I like the ones you find wandering around the shower the day after a hike and you have no idea where it can from.

I was there second week of May for my annual bear hunt. While not the worst I've seen them out there, far from the best, my bear was absolutely covered in them. I have not doubt that a couple hitched a ride in the truck back this way!

That being said, never found one on me out here.

We rescued a farm dog a year ago, and the vets removed over 250 of them from her, she had come from southern sask

If you are choosey and want at least three different species of tick on you, take a walk around Chin Lake, south of Taber.

Set up a treestand in real deep. Peeled of some layers and hung stand. I noticed them everywere hundreds. I hit a nest and they were everywere. It was in the Edmonton bow zone. The most distusting this ever. Threw everything out and found out the ones I had don't bite just srew and make more.I did't no what they were so I hunted all evening with them crawling on me.
