Gonefishin's 2016 moose
Had a crazy morning chasing bulls. The first one I was after spooked due to my stupidity, and as I was about to chase him, this one showed itself. We played cat and mouse for a couple hours, only to have a disappointing finish when I had to watch him go into a thick parcel of bush. I decided not to chase him, figuring he would bed down and I would come back this evening; and so I went around the island to sit down and rest. About 5 minutes later he came out about 75 yards away and slowly made his way towards me and at the 40 yard mark he finally stepped into a shooting lane.

Dang what a nice rack to hang the stockings from!
If I shot a moose like that I would have the head mounted exactly the same
as in your picture.
Hang it just above the fireplace.
I currently don't have a fireplace but, trust me I would build one for it.
What a fine animal and a great hunt, thanks for sharing.

Outstanding bull, sometimes it just comes together like that. My partner and I chased an old boy like that for two weeks last year, got close a few times and always something happened (cow elk showing up and blowing our cover was my favorite  )....but the hunt is the point. Good on you for the finish.
