Default First timer!

Well yesterday was the ol' birthday, girlfriend threw me in the car and where'd we end up but Jimbows! Ended up with a PSE brute force and it's all I could think about all day on their closed Monday is to go shoot. Can't wait to start the endless research on all the technology, broadheads etc.. and practice up for the year until next season. Here's to the new addiction!

Welcome to the addiction Now you get to join an archery club; learn how to practice for hunting by shooting 3D; have a longer hunting season and try real hard to get your girl to shoot a bow!

Welcome to the sport. It definitely is an addiction ! I picked it up last January/February and have never looked back. If you can definitely get your girlfriend shooting a bow too. With the extended hunting season it really test a relationship. My wife has been counting down the days until late the end of hunting season on the 30th. She thinks it will all go away after that. To me, it only means that I'll start replenishing supplies, upgrading equipment and practice until late next season.

Hey, the Brute force is a great bow. We sell a lot of them. Forgiving brace height, but super aggressive cams and low valley. I also shoot at Jims regularly.

Start at 10 yards and work on form as much as possible.

She's already been talking with a friends wife about also trying to find an expensive hobby LOL I think I can talk her into it, and if not she would absolutely enjoy the day out stalking and walking

Thanks for the great advice Duke. I headed down last night and shot from 10 yards for 2 hours. Feel quite confident at that range now, managed to hammer out the paper til there was nothing left of that center dot.
