You may wanna reconsider, a 300 win will do the same job, and the rounds are ALOT more readily available, when your in the middle of nowhere. Before I made my first hunting rifle purchase, I check many tiny little stores, in the middle of nowhere to see what they offered for ammo. My conclusion was .270 and 300 win, not to mention the price difference!!!

If you reload ,have a serious look at the .338-06. It is very simple and economical to reload, accurate, has very manageable recoil, and is suitable for most any game we are likely to come across. A bit of research on this caliber would be well worth your time.
IMHO it is a top candidate for the most versatile hunting cartridge ever devised. What it won't do, a 9.3 x 62 will.
