Default Halon 6

Hey guys has anyone had any time shooting the halon 6 ? I'm torn between the halon 6 and the bowtech btx. The halon shot beautiful and was dead in the hand I was sold on it till i heard they really can't adjust the side to side for the arrow other then moving the rest over due to the way the cable connects to the limbs . Has anyone had problems paper tuning this bow ?

I shot the Halon 6 & 7and Bowtech BTX & Prodigy. I got the 6. Had no trouble paper tuning. Set rest at 13/16" and this was the first three shot through paper.

Mathews like the 13/16 [measured 13/16 from riser to OC of arrow on rest]
Anything much over and there are usually other issues [arrow spine, cam lean etc]

Outstanding paper train group John...great job!!...doesn't get any better than that!!

Had a chance to shoot a BTX and a Halon 7 side by side this weekend and the Halon is a nice smooth shooting bow with a nice draw curve.

For me personally the BTX has a very aggressive cam rollover and like most Bowtechs for me the grip doesn't jive unfortunately.

Default Halon 6

Be careful of the Halon 6 with Lost Camo XD pattern. I know a shop that had 3 in stock and the finish is flaking off the front of the riser. These bows were never shot and Mathews is making the shop cover shipping and installation cost of the replacement risers. Matthews is headed down the toilet in recent years,... be warned.

don't worry mike your not missing out on the btx... there are a lot of bows that are not as aggressive to pull that shoot the same speed or faster...

Not everyone can handle a Bowtech...it's ok

That's why Mathews still sells bows
