Default Elk this coming weekend - Question

Heading up north (510) this weekend, I've been told the elk have been quiet for the most part. Am I correct thinking this weekend might be tough as it's between the peak rut and second rut?

who says its past "peak" rut yet. don't get so hung up on dates and decide the best coarse of action with atual observations from the field

Solstice is this comming weekend. Wouldnt say its the peak yet.
